I. Organizers

  1. The event welan, hereinafter referred to as the “Event”, is organized by Eppelduerfer a.s.b.l., a non-profit association, hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”. The statutes governing Eppelduerfer are publicly accessible on the website eppelduerfer.lu.
  2. The organizer declines all responsibility regarding the health and property of participants, unless the organizer can be accused of intent or gross negligence in such a case.
  3. The organizer undertakes to remedy any technical defects (e.g. power grid, network, ordering and payment systems) as quickly as possible and within their means. All operational guarantees are excluded.
  4. If any of the rules in this document are annulled, the validity of the other rules remains unaffected.
  5. The organizer reserves the right to change tournament formats and rules if necessary to ensure the quality of the event.

II. Participants

  1. The instructions of the organizer and their crew must be followed without restriction.
  2. Photos and videos are taken at the event for promotional purposes. By being present, participants accept being photographed and filmed. If a participant does not wish photos or videos to be published, this must be communicated to the organizer.
  3. Smoking is prohibited throughout the site within the premises.
  4. Except for 'snacks', bringing your own food and drinks to the event site is prohibited. In case of allergies or other health restrictions, the organizer may allow individual exceptions to this rule. This must be clarified before the event.
  5. Except for the setup of our gamers, bringing additional hardware is prohibited, except for smartphones and cameras.
  6. Any disruption (e.g. restriction, failure) to the infrastructure (e.g. power grid, network) caused intentionally, directly or indirectly, by a participant (e.g. through sabotage or manipulation) may lead to exclusion from the event.
  7. We expressly point out that the use of emergency exits is strictly prohibited, except in the case of a real emergency. The venue may normally only be exited via the main entrance towards the schoolyard. If an emergency exit is used without permission, we reserve the right to exclude the person directly and without prior warning from the event!

  1. Persons who enter the event site without registration and thus without a seat, hereinafter referred to as 'guests', may do so if they pay an entrance fee and can prove it.
  2. Guests under 12 years of age may enter the event site without an entrance fee if accompanied by an adult.

IV. Gamers

  1. From the age of 16, a person may participate as a 'gamer' with a seat at the event.
  2. All gamers must have paid the entry fee for their seat before arrival and be able to prove this if necessary (bank transfer).
  3. A refund of the gamer entry fee is only possible if the organizer cancels the event or cannot provide a seat. In particular, refunds due to illness or similar are not foreseen.
  4. The organizer's regulations regarding the connection of personal equipment must be followed. This applies especially to connections to the power grid and network (LAN).
  5. Gamers undertake to refrain from illegal activities. The following activities are particularly highlighted: software, music and video piracy; distribution of prohibited data; interference with or damage to third-party systems.
  6. License conditions for software (e.g. Windows, software EULAs) must be respected. Liability by the organizer is excluded.
  7. Gamers are responsible for the data on their equipment.
  8. Gamers are responsible for the protection, safety, and functionality of their equipment. The organizer does not provide technical support beyond the shared infrastructure (power grid and network).
  9. Electrical devices not directly related to the gaming setup or personal hygiene or health may not be connected on site. In particular, kettles, ovens, and microwaves are expressly highlighted as not permitted.
  10. If gamers excessively burden the shared network infrastructure (e.g. unnecessary high download or upload), the organizer reserves the right to throttle or block the affected network connection(s).
  11. Gamers must note that a space of 90 cm in width is allocated per person. A larger setup area is possible in consultation with the direct neighbors (if available).
  12. Gamers may connect a maximum of one monitor per seat. The physical size of the monitor must also be taken into account so as not to impair the available space on the table.

In the interest of health, the organizer encourages gamers to take frequent breaks and to use alcohol, caffeine, and sugar responsibly. Gamers traveling by car should plan enough sleep before returning home to ensure their own safety on the way home.
